    Default USAA, impressed

We have been with USAA for over 20 years. We called today as we had heard that other insurance companies were giving discounts. They took off 20% for the next two months and deferred our car payment for two months
without penalty or interest. Wow I am impressed.

If you are a member I suggest calling and taking advantage of this.

    Kudos to USAA for that.

Most insurance companies are giving customers a credit as well. For GEICO customers:

    The GEICO Giveback Credit
GEICO is providing a 15 percent credit to our auto and motorcycle policyholders as your policy comes up for renewal between April 8 and October 7, 2020. The credit will also apply to any new policies purchased during this period. The credit is part of our ongoing efforts to assist policyholders during this unprecedented time.

The average auto policy has a semi-annual premium of about $1,000 and generally covers more than one vehicle. This means we expect credits to average about $150 per auto policy and $30 per motorcycle policy. We estimate the benefit to our 18 million auto and one million motorcycle policyholders to be approximately $2.5 billion.

Current policyholders can expect to see the credit when your policy renews. You do not need to take any action to receive this credit.

So you have to call, they aren't doing it automatically?

USAA to Return $520 Million to Members
    yesterday
SAN ANTONIO ? USAA, the country?s fifth largest property-casualty insurer, will be returning $520 million to its members. This payment is a result of data showing members are driving less due to stay-at-home and shelter-in-place guidance across the country. Every member with an auto insurance policy in effect as of March 31, 2020, will receive a 20% credit on two months of premiums in the coming weeks.

    From the app

    How it works
Members will automatically receive a credit applied to their bill. They do not need to call, and no additional action is required.

We switched last year and saved almost $200 a year on the house, plus $100 per month on the cars (their renewal went up $70 per month for no other reason than "Colorado"). Their service was great, but it just got too expensive.

    Default USAA...not even impressed

They let British Airways bill me twice for one round trip ticket I have been battling USAA for 40 days and have received half a refund. I'm not impressed at all. Beware of airlines trying to over charge. Beware of USAA being less sympathetic to shady airlines during this crisis.
