We've been doing it off and on, mostly when we are just hanging out with the kids on the deck after dinner. It seems a bit hokey at first, but I do think there is a value to creating some sort of solidarity as a community. The Italians make it look classy, but they have the advantage (in this regard) of living close enough together to be able to make music--and, they have talent! That being said, I wouldn't want to live in apartments ("flats") like that. I broke out my coyote howler and it set my dog off. He started howling--and looking very confused and anxious!

I just grunt, groan and cry a little like someone is sodomizing me. Also fits the narrative.

Not to derail too much, but are you happy with your electric lawnmower? I have a 10 year old Honda gas mower that works well enough, but I am tired of dealing with gelled gas, rough idle, and the general noise when doing a task I absolutely hate (mowing the lawn). Wondering if electric is any better.
Math is tough. Let's go shopping!

Yep, really happy with it. It came with a 'universal' type blade that is supposed to be good with mulching and bagging. It was weak on the bagging side so I replaced the blade with their higher lift blade and it works much better.

I went with this unit after watcing a bunch of reviews on YouTube and scanning the Interwebs: https://egopowerplus.com/21-inch-self-propelled-mower/

Extremely low maintenance and stores compactly. It's so light and rolls so easily I don't use the self-propelled feature much, but with my bad back, it helps pull the mower out of some awkward spots as I'm turning and shhhtuff. I paired it with their carbon fiber string trimmer and leaf blower. The batteries are all interchangeable. I haven't tried mowing with a 2.5 Ah battery instead of the 7.5 Ah that it came with, but I could. I'm thinking about buying their snow blower at some point, if we don't end up moving for a couple more years.

The only quirk that they have is that there is a slight lag when you engage the triggers on the string trimmer and leaf blower. I think they did it as a safety feature in case you bump the trigger, but my trigger finger is my safety. ;-) I kind of have an expectation of immediacy with electric.

First time I've ever seen that video too ... don't think it did anything for the song. Whoever conceptualized it needed to sober up first and think about what they were trying to do or say with the video. I don't understand most of the choices of footage from the movie as they had nothing to do with the mood or lyrics of the song.
