We've eaten them before, but I cooked them all messed up. Someone who knows what they are doing and rattlesnake is fine.

I don't think I've had eel. I'd say chicken though.
Rattle snake is good, similar to alligator but still unique.
Back in good old days the carpenter who ran our window shop was a rattlesnake hunter. He and his wife hunted the snakes, harvested the skins and rattles for sale as souvenirs. They also contracted with city animal control, BLM, DOW(fuk CPW, back in the day, DOW was only decent gov agency in the state, now they all suck even worse).
They always brought rattle snake to company picnics and functions. The stories they told about hunting the snakes by hand were great. At one summer picnic on Black mtn they caught a rattle snake that had wandered into the campgrounds we were using. It was added to the grill with the other meat they had brought and the burgers and dogs.
Hate snakes
Not a fan of snakes but will usually leave them alone.
Poisonous snakes in people areas get kilt. Non-Poisonous get relocated.
New rule enacted recently by Mrs bo, any snake she sees gits kilt.
Of course she makes me kilt it.
I was hiking to a pretty high lake to fish with some buddies and a snake was in the trail and started to slither away. My friend says "grab it!" I looked at him like he was crazy, which he kind of is. Turned out to be a garter snake. I was surprised to see snake that high thou. Over 8k feet in the Flat Tops. First time.
