OK...so this one is a bit embarrassing in the simplicity.

Mix up a batch of Krusteaz pancake batter and let it sit for 30-45 minutes.
Coat Oreos in batter
Deep-fry in CLEAN canola oil at 350 until dark golden brown
Let cool on rack until still warm but not scalding hot (powder sugar will melt if food is too hot)
Dust with powder sugar.

Works great with Nutter Butters too.

I actual don't like Oreos and still enjoy these while they are warm. Cookie becomes soft and filling kind of gooey

Colorado Springs apparently went from burn ban to burn restirctions effective Nov 2. Sure would have been nice if they'd sent a notice out like they did when they upgraded to burn ban. Firing up the charcoal grill tonight for a steak ...
