I have potential places, that we'd have to share with 45 other family members. :/
No, I don't see the need
Yes, because I worry about civil war
Yes, because I worry about civil unrest
Yes, because I worry about natural disasters
Yes, because of an enemy invasion
Yes, for some other reason
I'm not sure, what's it mean to bug out?

Like the others, I do not feel the need to leave. I am out in the sticks. Pretty well prepared for most anything.
Well, for any of you Springs folks... I do work in mapping... just saying if you want some "research" on certain areas.... you have my PM.
Not too worried here.
Have a month's food & water, generator with fuel, propane, batteries, extra meds, etc, etc. But, more importantly, I have over 3000 rds. of 223's loaded for the AR's and 2500 rds of handgun ammo.
I know I am a crazy old man, but I am not as worried about a foreign invasion or a collapse of our society as I am a new civil war. A war between the "haves" and the "have nots". Those that work for a living and those that have always lived on welfare. Those that are in this country legally and those that are not. Those that respect our founding fathers system of government and those that don't
Mrs CB and I lived in southern CA when the Rodney King riots broke out in 1992. For most of us, the world went from peaceful to riot stage in less than 24 hours.
We were 30 miles from ground zero, but we were ready had the situation escalated.
That event had a real impact on me. Since then, I frequently ask myself, "Are you ready should it happen again?"
My question to you, are you ready?
I voted "I see no need".
I'm pretty sure I can ride out any localized, short term SHTF ... and frankly I have no intention of surviving a major TEOTWAWKI ... I have no interest in living in some sort of post apocalyptic wasteland or returning to the 1800s or any such nonsense.
Well put and I agree. I would maybe try to bounce out a bit quicker if "they" started shipping people off to FEMA camps. Yeah yeah, I said it. Call me paranoid . . . . .
Want to make it 46 . . brother?!?
I've got gear although it needs to be organized better. My exit plan and place to go need work. I may be Red Dawn'ing it.In all seriousness though I do need to work on my overall bug out plan.
Do what you've always done and get what you've always gotten.
I wonder how the Army would feel about people bugging in to Ft. Carson. They've got a lot of land down south. Guess it depends on what happens.

My place is probably as defensible as most any other on the off chance that's needed. Access is fairly restricted and easily monitored. I answered "No" to the poll question but we are prepared to leave - for the most part - in case of a fire. That's our biggest worry at the moment.
We have ample food and other necessities and an underground water supply (well). Our well has a hand pump on it, too. We also have a generator that will run most anything and a full 1000 gal propane tank.
We'd probably just "bug in" here with a few other close friends if required.
Stella - my best girl ever.

Don't wanna get shot by the police?
"Stop Resisting Arrest!"
I'll gladly shoot most of my neighbors and aquire their food and water(Liberal Scumbags). I'm staying put in the Mountains.
I still think posting up at a library would be better than a Wal-mart. Everyone will go to Wal-mart.
