Something big going on at King Soopers on Table Mesa in Boulder

Some white guy went in and shot up a bunch of asian massage parlours and killed 6 people I think.

I got caught up. Really surprised that didn't come across my news feed at all.

The reason to ask about fatalities is that the numbers are all over the place. Just wondering if people had seen a more reputable summary.

The King Soopers there is daylit by multiple skylights, part of their "green" energy remodel they did a few years back. They would have been able to see inside the store from the roof.

EVERYONE showed up to this one.

Saw a tac team get put on the roof using the FD ladder truck.

Now, don't consider this throwing stones folks, but instead a serious question. What the heck were they going to do on the roof? VERY few single story commercial buildings have roof access from inside. Virtually all of them have roof access from a locked ladder attached to the side of the building somewhere.

Snipers on the roof across the street? Sure, ok. On the roof of a multi-story building with stair access to inside? That makes sense too.

Seems like being on the roof here would take them out of the game.

It's a grocery store, they have refrigeration equipment up there, there's a roof hatch and no external ladder I see on Google. They were bringing up a demo saw up to cut their way into the roof hatch.

Don't know how credible it is, but one person talking to a local reporter stated some police came in from the roof.

Speculating but it's a little suspicious that the Boulder AR-15 ban was just struck down. Would it be beyond an anti gun activist to engage in a mass shooting as a statement?

It is a block away from our house and the Flight for Life helicopters landed at the High School (Fairview)

I turned on the HAM radio, SWAT took over the net and all radio operations I could hear.

Around 330pm 6 dead and 1 officer, and they were planning a potential breach at some point. Everything else was just operations chatter through the SWAT CP.
