"Millennials" as a trope is a stupid Boomer/Gen X move. There are many millennial generation folks working as Sergeant Majors, Master Sergeants, Lieutenant Colonels, retired and onto a second career, Architects of the computer systems and networks you struggle to use, etc.
It's like the Boomers and Gen X'ers somehow think the 18 year old idiot who has to break out her iPhone to make change is a Millennial.
