The photo of the good earth land made me say - ahh, not quite the black earth land I have seen.
At 10K you can grow things, and quite well; assuming you have a heated green house.

Now if the land was at 5k and near a major source of snow run off, that could work out esp if you have some wind protection.

The homes in the drawing look like classic monolithic domes out of Texas....sort of...and placed in some very lush location outside of Colorado.

They originally were going to do this in Florida, but decided that due to Covid and some other reasons (can't recall), they would do CO instead.

Not a surprise. I found it amazing to believe that this organization had put together enough funds to purchase the property they wanted to set up their utopian enclave on.

Essentially, they were just hoping to take ownership of the property by squatting and claiming "possession is 9/10's of the law".

I'm actually surprised that they were booted off of the property so easily under "trespass" reasons when it's almost impossible to do the same to someone who illegally occupies a home.

That might have been their plan but it happened in San McGoo County. Since everybody has been priced out of Telluride, land prices around (s)Norwood have drastically increased. Despite the incredible left leaning politics of Telluride, Norwood is still grudgingly conservative. Additionally, due to the outrageous cost of housing around Telluride, the SMSO has become well practiced at running off squatters.

Called it. Scam (never bought jack, took some photos in the mountains) and they had a fundraiser. I bet now that it has fallen apart and they "left", (but it's like, they had to leave cause the police said so), all that money will be returned to their donors right?

That is disappointing. I really wanted to watch this one play out.
