Post a picture of it, we might be able to ID it.

The problem with cheapie trail cams is that they aren't reliable. I have 5 trail cams, the first two were $55 Stealth Cams from Sam's Club. It wasn't long before they stopped catching night images, and one doesn't do video anymore. I've since bought a Browning and liked it so much I got two more. The Browning cams have a good rep for reliability, and mine take beautiful color images, and clear b&w night shots. I plan to get more of these:

I also got one of these and will get more....

I've caught lots of raccoons and skunks and have a technique for dealing with them without getting sprayed. If you elevate the live trap off the ground a ways, skunks are less likely to go into it. Be especially careful if you catch a raccoon. They are dangerous animals and often carry distemper.

Yes. With something to tell the approximate size.

I've bought a couple of game cams from SWH. Been a while, so I bet the technology is better.

Yes, exactly. Some of us are learned scatologists.

I was speaking with a gent who taught tracking for various entities and dotmil, specifically the human variant.
He said there was an entire section of his course that was Scatology, apparently you can learn quite a bit about your mark by examining their excrement.
He was a very, very spooky dude.

I have had very good luck with these. The batteries have lasted for more than a year, one took of 4000 pics because of a stupid branch. The batteries on all four were still at 50% after a year.

I use the Browning Strike Force. Have them set on 5 second video. With lithium batteries (recommended by Browning) they have taken thousands of videos and still read in the 9? % battery life. Great color daytime pics, and good night black and white pics. Mine are the older ones, with no wireless capabilities, like the new ones have.
