Interesting. I'll be curious what they do about prices... If it's a "park", even day-use fees should be less than what Colorado Clays previously cost.

I did hear that. Good for them. I've done a bunch of shooting out there. Hope they continue to keep it a nice place to shoot.

How does that affect their ability to host groups that want to rent the whole place for fundraising shoots?
There's a fine line between cuddling and holding someone down so they can't get away.

It's a nice facility, but I view it as just another step in the process for validating a complete ban on dispersed recreational shooing on public land.

Ugh. My gut feeling is this is bad. That place always seemed to be well run during the many times I've been there. I can't imagine CPW can continue that. I hate the idea of a private range becoming property of the state.

CPW isn't running it but I'm sure they can still find a way to screw it up.

"CPW entered into a concessionaire agreement with its previous Vice President of Marketing Cory Kraft, who will continue to run the facility under CPW ownership, the agency said.

“We are excited to partner with the state to continue to offer a safe, convenient and affordable recreational shooting range for local Coloradans,” Kraft said."

We will see. HS State Trap is already scheduled there for June, so I assume that will stay since already agreed to. I hope our 30 kids Trap team still gets to shoot for a slightly reduced rate.

    As people mentioned.
Wondering about the price and are they going to charge park entrance fee, etc.
