Damn, looks like he shoots in the direction of the guy sitting by the jukebox. Glad he didn't get shot.

The shooter has been identified and the case is proceeding to a grand jury.

Gee, I thought the police "Only wanted to talk to him."

YOU are the first responder. Police, fire and medical are SECOND responders.
When seconds count, the police are mere minutes away...
Gun registration is gun confiscation in slow motion.

The deceased was out on parole for another robbery where a cell phone store owner was killed. A lot of mitigating circumstances in favor of the customer.

He lawyered up, talked to HPD detectives yesterday. He was allowed to leave, no charges. TX law requires a GJ review the case. So far, looks like he might slide by. HPD did not release any info about him either. I'd bet he was a prohibited person in some form, as well.

I wonder... if autopsy shows that the robber had already sustained unsurvivable injuries from the first few rounds, it could be argued that any gunshots after those were, at most, abuse of a corpse. Just sayin.

    You're in the wrong profession.

Should've been an attorney! "I'd like to motion for a directed verdict and my client will plead to a lesser charges of abuse of a corpse and discharge of a firearm in city limits. As a matter of law, you can't murder someone that's already dead, your honor. How much community service do you want?"
