Nothing in that video that I could see makes me feel warm and fuzzy about the current state of law enforcement. It seems the warrior mentality is a thing of the past...not just in LE but in our society in general.

We're in an age of LE being what i call hires and sjw's. Hired for gender, skin tone, box needed to be checked. Not for experience, or actually wanting to be in law enforcement.

It doesn't seem to be a generational thing, anymore. Our daughter, nieces & nephews , unless their kids decide to go into LE. Are the last generation for our family as LE's, dating back to the early 1900's. Sadly with the state of affairs in LE, depending where in the country you live, i hope they don't.

Off topic, but did you see the officer that unloaded his pistol at his own cruiser with a cuffed suspect in the back after an acorn fell on the roof? Dude even screamed over and over that he was 'hit'.

    Yes. Embarrassing.
“Every good citizen makes his country's honor his own, and cherishes it not only as precious but as sacred. He is willing to risk his life in its defense and is conscious that he gains protection while he gives it.” Andrew Jackson

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

I saw that. There are so many disturbing videos of just downright indefensible behavior by officers these days. I saw some pretty dumb stuff back in my cop days but nothing that even remotely approached what we're seeing today. I just watched a video (also from Houston) of two female PD officers mag dump into an apartment where there was no crime. It was on Donut Operator's YT channel.

2 female officers on scene for unrelated call. They're approached and told there's a broken window at another apartment and possibly a burglary there. They go to apt and see broken window. They knock on the door, announce and back off a bit. One sees a female walking to the door with a handgun. Both officers mag dump into the apartment just at the sight of the gun. Not just one mag, either. One of the officers nearly (or does) empties all 3 magazines into the apartment. Lady inside is alone and is struck numerous times but survives. She was staying in the apartment, that belonged to her friend (who wasn't there), and forgot or lost her keys. She broke the window to get inside. Presumably had the gun for protection (because Houston) and couldn't/didn't see who was at the door.

This is exactly the type of law enforcement I told people they were gonna get over 25 years ago when this leftist shit started creeping into the profession. Now they have it. Unfortunately, we have it, too. Defund, wokeism, war on police in general...I don't blame anyone for not wanting to go into the career. Last LE job I had in a metro-Denver department had 5 openings when I applied in 1997 and had over 800 applicants. Now some departments have many hundreds of openings and just a handful of applicants.
