Or it could have been a hunting rifle the shooter felt was so old it would be untraceable. Non-shooters are the web are going nuts over the 200 yard distance but I don't think that's an unreasonable distance for a hunter. It wouldn't even surprise me if the shooter was going for a head shot and got Kirk in the jugular by mistake.
Meanwhile, the Leftists that realize they can't openly celebrate this are saying, "but what about the Minnesota couple gunned down in their home?" or "but what about the school shooting the same day?"

In the video it looks like he was hit in the bullet proof vest he was wearing and it ricocheted up and in the throat...
I'm not sure if it was soft or hard armor but another theory is that it was spalling from the plate that came up and hit him in the throat. Maybe a glancing shot that hit the edge of the plate?
Either way it looks like it was a chest shot that hit the target/plate based on how his shirt moved but unfortunately found a way to still kill him...

The video is horrible, there is so much coverage of Charlie dying. What pisses me off outside of the murder/assassination (of course), are all the absolutely f'd up people out there who celebrate this crap. What the hell kind of people are they? I know it's bad, but I wish the worst for all those a-holes out there... We're off the edge as a country - it's been getting worse every decade... These people are ugly humans (I guess they're human). The a-hole who killed Charlie deserves to die a slow and painful death, and those who celebrate the loss of life deserve to die as well, but that's all in God's time and in His hands - and I while I don't really pity the fools who have it coming (maybe I should... but I can't right now), retribution and justice cannot come soon enough.
Get out there, get some lead down range, be ready, and keep'em locked and loaded... Invest in precious metal (brass and lead), make sure you carry always, and be safe out there...
