Trying to stop natural change is worse for the planet than letting it happen.

ERNO, look up the Beetle kill situation in the Colorado mountain in Grand county and tell me if you think that we should be actively trying to save the trees from the beetles.

Really want to learn the truth about "global warming" without plowing through all the scientific journals? Read Michael Crichton's book State of Fear. He did it all for you. Very scientifically based. Even the "environmental scientists" are not talking about global anything any more, they talk about regional climate change.

Before the Kyoto convention, the first one, congress asked a group of scientists to give them the truth about global warming. A friend of ours was one of those on the investigation. The conclusion was that 80% of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere came from volcanoes. Mans contribution for all of the time that we have been industrialized is less than .5%. China is a major producer from their burning coal mines that they can't put out.

My father was a Principal Scientist. Dad did not believe in global warming and knew the so called science behind it.

When the media reported that there was a consensus among scientists that global warming was real, the truth was that less than 25% of those at the world convention going on at that time signed on to the proclamation.

When the Sierra club or some other organization forces a state to file an enforcement suit against a company for polluting, the money recovered by the state from the suit goes half to the state and half to the Sierra club. Can you say it is all about the money?

Liberals HATE Michael Crichton for writing that book. It is regularly trashed on left leaning websites and I've yet to hear of any climate scientists saying they agree with him.

I was posting on a left leaning site (before those pussies banned me) and people were complaining about the rude comments were making when the latest Kennedy died. I pointed out that I had seen comments on the very same board about from people like "Burn in hell Michael Crichton!" That was a serious comment. I couldn't believe it. Once I brought up the subject, people continued to trash him by the way.

No, it does not look like we can save the lodgepole pine from the beetles for now, but the pines can regenerate in 10 years.
But it looks like the Coloradoians have a Global Warming catastrophe in their own backyards.
The Forest Service said "That although Bark Beetles are a natural part of the Lodgepole Pine ecosystem, warm winters and the drought of recent years have intensified the problem. The combination has produced an ideal enviroment for the beetles to multiply and spread."
Sounds like to me, that theres no way to curtail pine beetle populations, unless you curtail Global Warming.

The biggest problem with the pine beetle is not global warming. It is the fact that man has suppressed fire for decades creating a homogeneous forest.

Bird Dog, he is not a liberal. he is.... This is a direct quote from erno. i think he is either obama, pelosi, or soros's troll account

"I consider myself a lefty, but not a Communist. Just say, I'm a Capitalist with some Socialist leanings
I don't live in Colorado, I live in Maryland

I am not a "liberal",I'm a left wing radical" quotes by erno.
