Get some glasses, a dead guy can call a better game, are you a zebra cause you sure look like an ass, who's paying you, maybe you could stick your nose up his ass some more, etc etc.
There's the info I know.
Used to work with a guy who ref'ed baseball and basketball. Got to where he would only do girls games. Guys and kids games were too many confrontations.

MLB has so many bad calls it's turning into world cup soccer.
I used to ref football and umpire baseball and do a little bit of basketball reffing.
My brother in law is a ref for the Y or the rec locally.
Best bet is to call the rec center or ymca.
other thing is to talk to the people for high school sports (CHSAA)
I think they could lead you in the right direction.

go to the section where is says "officials"
Advice may be more targeted if we know what sport(s) you're considering. I've done stuff in various sports ranging from running up and down the soccer sideline with a flag when my kids are playing to judging a national final in a different sport.
im looking at football, baseball, softball and basketball, all stuff ive played thru the years.....ive emailed about 5 people at the CHSAA site and every email has comeback as undeliverable...im gonna try the phone number on my next day off. Ill also try the ymca. I have contacted the Jefferson County Midget League too...waiting for a response. Thanks for all the suggestions.
Contact all your local leagues, they are always looking for refs, they will get you the info.
