Default Has Anybody Bought Through galleryofguns.com?

I ran across this http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/default.aspx It's run by Davidsons. They don't cover all lines and stock all models but you can get a quote for delivered to an FFL. Some of those prices are impressive. (I hate to see it but I've seen new guns being offered way cheaper than prices for used in our FS list.)

I know Neves uniform in Denver uses them, and has good things to say, but they are a large business, so YMMV as a private buyer.

I probably sell at least one gun per week through my GoG website. My customers rave about them. Cheap shipping, good prices, FAST delivery.

I think my markup is about 8% over cost.

I've used them a few times through my local dealer with no problems, iirc every weapon you get from them has a lifetime warranty. I have been using buds latley though, they run a bit cheaper free shipping and as a added bonus there is no sales tax.

I had more but didn't want to flame them out. I've had a hard time getting competitive prices with them. I have others I prefer as a result.

Bud's is a great shop and they've revolutionized internet gun-buying. They are definitely a powerhouse and will sell more guns in a month than many (or even most) dealers will sell in a year. They're pretty much the standard with which to compare other dealers. But just for fun, here are a few comparisons for internet orders from Bud's and GoG (the GoG prices are from my website with 3.9% tax rate), on payments made with credit cards (Bud's charges 3% for credit card orders). A $25 dealer transfer fee is assumed on the below comparisons and these are total, delivered prices:
    • Ruger SR9C: Buds = $442.15 GoG = $431.54
    • Ruger LCP: Buds = $317.52 GoG = $306.86
    • S&W Optics Ready Carbine: Buds = $856.21 GoG = $900.28
    • Glock 17 Gen 3: Buds = $533.82 GoG = $529.20
    • Remington 870 Exp #5549: Buds = $336.06 GoG = $305.97
Bottom line: Bud's is hard to beat if you're getting your transfers done for $15 or less. But, if you're paying the typical $20-$25 for a transfer fee, you might be able to do better. Or, you might not. It does pay to shop around.

GoG offers a lifetime replacement warranty on every gun they sell. Pretty much a no BS warranty, too. Anything breaks on the gun they'll replace the entire gun with a new one as long as it's available. The gun doesn't work right, they'll replace it. Handguns are shipped overnight or second day. Anything ordered with a handgun ships overnight or second day for the same $14.95 handgun shipping charge (except ammo, which must go via ground).

All dealers who use the GoG website set their prices individually. Tax and shipping are figured into the final, delivered price. So, from one dealer to the next you might pay substantially more (or less) for a particular gun ordered through GoG. When you checkout on the GoG website you'll pay a 25% deposit on the order with a credit card with no credit card surcharge. You'll pay the balance to your dealer when you pick up the gun in his/her shop.
