I'm late getting into this thread but I'll wade in with full enthusiasm!

I practically teethed on BBQ of all sorts: brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, etc. and eventually my dad was 50% owner of a BBQ restaurant. My point is, I KNOW good BBQ and have been disappointed for YEARS trying to find decent BBQ in Colorado.

This changed while celebrating my 20th wedding anniversary wit hmy wife in Aspen a couple of years ago when we found and ate at Hickey House BBQ (the one in Aspen). I don't know who I was in love with more that night, my wife, or Hickory House! [BTW: It was my wife's idea to have our 20th Anniversary dinner at a BBQ joint, not mine. What a gal' eh?]

We were thrilled to find that they also had a store in Parker. We finally got a chance to try the Parker location out this past spring and found that the food was just as good as at the Aspen store.

My wife and I are always looking for a reason to go back up to Parker to eat at Hickory House and this would be the perfect excuse. I'm all for it but I might not get to attend unless it were after teh first of the year with all of the holiday stuff going on and my wife working retail. If I went to Hickory House without her (even if I brought food back for her), she'd probably shoot me.

Oh wow Elhuero. That's akin to walking down the streets of Bahgdad with a t-shirt that says (in arabic) "Allah Sucks".

Speaking of BBQ, Rudy's down in the Springs off of HWY 24 has fantastic smoked meat (sauce opt.) also The Rib House in Longmont and Boulder has some bomb ass ribs and spicy sausage and the cheesy corn bake bake will make your brain melt and run out of your ears! In my opinion hands down the two best places for BBQ in CO that I've come across.

I ate some left overs from Casa Bonita a while back and it was pretty good. Not good enough that I'd eat it over anything else, but better than other Mexican I've had.

Finding good mexican food has been tough lately. My favourite place back in the day was The Blue Bonnet, but that's gone down hill a bit over the years...

I had some pretty exceptional Mex at a little joint called Tacos Jalisco in Denver on 38th a few weeks back.
