id say with the things you listed, $900 is too low. for a bone stock one it is reasonable, but you also said high end so what does that mean exactly? high end is different for everyone. some consider rock river high end, some consider it low end.
maybe for around a grand or 1100 you might be able to find like an m&p or something
Not a bad deal.......
http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.c...ategory_id=464 Jensen arms might have them in stock.

How do you define good or bad AR? I have a non brand AR that are @ 9000 round count that has no issue whatsoever and have colt that rattles and have few mals @ 3000 rds. I know few guys with their own kit @ 15000 w/o replacing any parts just yet.
IMHO, internal matters, brand-name means nothing.
for $900 you could build what you want and get a better shooter than buying one off the shelf
and with a few hours work, you'd be done before the weekend
Check out CDNN, they have S&W M&P 15s on sale. Your price requirement would get you into a mid-range model. Only thing is they are carbine not "middy". Sorry, can't figure out how to post links.
Black rain? They have some really cool stuff, but would definitely be a longer build project do to $.
