Well she is from the Washington Post.

The anti gunners SO want the US citizens to believe that all the guns in Mexico come from the US.

Wonder if they ever looked at Columbia where the cartels headquarters probably are.

Would anyone in Mexico fund gun purchases in the US if they couldn't get those guns across the border?

If we can't stop people and thousands of tons of drugs from crossing our border, why do we believe we can stop guns from being smuggled?

If our government continues with the same ineffective policies which brought us to this point, why would we expect smuggling of any type to slow down?

I want to stop the illegal purchase and smuggling of guns out of the US. The drug cartels drive prices up for those of us who would like to purchase them legally.

The WP spent a year investigating to find out most guns smuggled to Mexico were purchased in TX and AZ? Really? A quick look at a map might have tipped them off.

Its interesting to note that the reporter mention that the police feel out gunned due to the fact the bad guys have AR-15’s AK-47’s and 50 calibers. Of course, giving the perception that these weapons are full auto, and were purchased in the U.S. The Police force in Mexico has plenty of access to full auto weapons if needed to combat the cartels. The problem is making sure those Police weapons don’t end up in the hand of the bad guys, which is so often the case. This whole thing is BULLSHIT, our government could give a rats ass about curtailing any of this. They will do nothing more then legislate more laws to restrict the freedom of Americans, just to look good in the eyes of the world. Makes me sick!!

Last time I Checked a 5.56/.223 semi-automatic AR-15 wasn't exactly a "High Powered" weapon that Law enforcement agencies don't have access to or a better than (meaning full-Automatic)

    slanted scare tactic media
the worst part is, people believe them.

Too bad all these news outlets can't be sued for putting out wrong information.

Yeah? Since when has a non-resident alien been able to legally buy a gun anywhere in the U.S.?

It seems to me like that Wash Post reporter was taking a great number of liberties with the facts, presenting the data SHE wanted folks to hear and see.

Nice to know that she isn't going to let anything as meaningless as the truth get in the way of her reporting.

They don't. They just want everyone to believe that they belive that it's about stopping the "flow of guns" into Mexico. It's all part of the anti-gun agenda. What they really expect is to use this negative publicity to remove guns from the hands of citizens directly through additional legislation, or cause the price of the guns to rise to a point where fewer citizens can afford to buy them.

    And, it's working.

If our guns are going over the border, maybe we should close the border both ways. PROBLEM SOLVED!
