I forgot where I heard this but I used it all Christmas long, "happy holidays is what terrorists say, we say merry Christmas!". Come to think of it I saw it on American Dad. Thank you Mickey, I will bring my family soon and give you all my money. At least i own stock in Disney.

Personally, I don't give a shit.
I am so tired of everyone running around being offended because someone said this or didn't say that. Meanwhile those very arguments you make are being turned against you.

We as a society have seriously lost our focus.

Personally, I Say happy Holidays Because Thanksgiving is a holiday, Christmas is a Holiday and New years is a Holiday. Saying "Happy Holidays" is shorter that saying "Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and have a Happy New year."
I only use it if I think I May not see you again over Multiple holidays. In particular the ones that are only a week apart.
So once again I think the argument can be made as to ascertaining the meaning and intent of what is said rather than knee-jerking to self-victimization.

I'm a man of faith but this is the same way I feel. What you say is completely up to you as an individual and is fine with me. At the same time respect what I say and feel. As far as what corporate America thinks is right makes absolutely no difference to me. Carry on !

I don't mind if people want to say Happy Holidays. I prefer Merry Christmas. Each to their own. But I'm going to stick with Merry Christmas.
