the signal thing is over rated.

as for the "death grip" I've not had too many problems with my iPhone 4. maybe a few .. but in places that get crap signal anyways.

It' all in what works for you. for me personally.. not being able to do data and phone at the same time is a deal breaker ( my original iPhone was like this) I'd miss calls ( they would go to v-mail) while I was surfing the web. and once you've been able to look something up while talking on the phone to get a " save the day" answer... you'll never go back LOL .

I fly all over the country and can tell you first hand that the iphone AT&T coverage is much worse than verizon. I have a Droid X.
The Iphone is an amazing device but AT&T just does not have the coverage that verizon has. that is a FACT.
