I picked up a Savage MK-II used for $100 delivered from Louisiana. I love it. needs a new scope, but it's good to go.

love the .22!!! Some of the best memories shooting have been with a .22 and I can't wait to start teaching the grand nephews and my grandson this summer. One of the grand nephews just found out about a week ago that its his time to start and you would have thought it was Christmas all over again for him. He and I have been waiting for the ok from my niece to start and we finally got it. He will be starting out on a Savage single shot and then a Marlin model 60 and then who knows from there. Cant wait

I just picked up my first 3 22's this weekend. I got a crickett for my 7 year old, a glenfield model 70 for 65 bucks, and an almost new P22 for 160. Not too shabby, tore the two used ones all the way down and cleaned them, can't wait to take my kiddo shooting!

Stone, you can pick up a crickett for a hundred!

I've considered a crickett. Has anyone put an adult stock on one of the youth models? Does anyone have any thoughts about other stock options for a crickett?

Single shots certainly have a way of making me slow down and concentrate on each round. Always a good thing.

I have a Taurus 9 shot 22lr revolver. Cool little gun. I bought it for the wife and kids to have something to do if they were to join me at the range and not like the "real" guns!

What I use it more for is training . . . I randomly load 3 to 5 rounds and then have the person shoot it and watch for flinching.
I WANT a P22 . . . but haven't picked one up yet. Of course I have a 22 rifle as well. They're all fun and very cheap to shoot.
