File a complaint with the head of the dept and the VP of the school for injecting personal beliefs unto the students. Teachers are to be professional and unbiased at all times in their class. Explressing opinion can easily be taken as truth by young, ignorant students.

i had a similar thing come up in one of my juvenile delinquency class the professor brought up the idea of taking away all military style rifles from civilian owner ship the ironic thing was he was in the military at one point of time i guess?
i however did not keep my mouth shut and objected to his comment as i compete with a military style type rifle for sporting use. still got an A+ in the course! than again i am in NE of all places.

Look, I find it a noble idea and all, but having spent the better part of the last decade in tertiary education, you won't get anywhere arguing with the prof in class. It will be pointless, you will gain nothing, and you might make your life harder, for naught.
Swear to gods. I tried.
Now, time spent before and after class, one-on-one with your classmates... much more fruitful. Effectiveness is efficiency, max out your rate of return.
