    Default Good for him/Screw PETA

Was reading a story about the CEO of Go daddy.com. I dont know how to post links so here is the meat (pun intended) of the story. CEO goes to africa because he is a hunter. While there hunting water buffalo he is asked by locals to help with an elephant problem they are having. I guess the elephant has been destroying their crops. So he kills the elephnat and gives the meat to the locals to eat because they are a poor village and it is a good thing to do

Now PETA is naming him "scumiest CEO of the year" Ok I will rant first.

I have asked some vegan friends (yeah I know a couple) this question and cant ever get an answer.

If we all go veggie head, what happens to all the animals when we level all the forests to make room for farming to provide all the veggies to feed the world? All I ever get is a blank stare.

So good for the CEO and Fuck PETA

While I'm against big game hunting personally, I say good for him. As long as people hunt responsibly and legally, then there really isn't a problem.

I've posed the same questions to my friends, and I really can't get a good answer on it. I personally do not eat beef, but I believe that if people didn't eat beef or use leather, etc, there would no longer be cows. A majority of the cows in the world are, really, a crop. And just like most crops: if they're no longer needed, they die off

I have heard of these types of hunts before. If I were to ever go to Africa to hunt that is the only way I would do it. Give a local village all the meat. I dont hunt for sport. I hunt for meat to feed my family.

Seems like any hunter's wet dream to be asked to take care of a problem elephant one day. heh.

And what is the problem with big game hunting or hunting in general?

I found out its a bitch to freaking clean and carry them back to camp. So until I am in shape, I will hang out at Texas Roadhouse instead.

PS.. I have an LCP I might sell. Are you still looking for one?

I can't believe that anyone still actually listens to PETA. To me it's one of those organizations that would start talking and as soon as they said, "I am from PETA," I would walk away, mid-sentence

And I think most people would these days, they get more ridiculous as time goes on.

PETA is ridiculous. the more and more I hear about them and their "quest", I honestly believe the southpark episode about them is true.
