Has anyone heard of any plans to reopen this place? It is only about 15 miles from my house.
I REALLY want to use it again

I was up there the weekend they closed the Allenspark site.
I just did a little exploration on some of the nearby Forest Service roads and found some good places. I'd say you might be able to get 100 yards if your creative.
As long as you follow the regulations you're good to go.
150 yards from a residence, occupied area or developed site, and you don't shoot across a Forest Service road or body of water.
Any updates for the North Site? I've never even had a chance to check it out yet.
Can someone confirm that NORTH SITE (ALLENSPARK) is now open to public?
I just read someone on ar15 that they went there.
It's still closed, I was up there on Saturday and its still covered in 'No Shooting' notices.
With the current ban in place you have to be West of Hwy 72 to shoot.
Try up the trail that starts here:
40° 9'32.04"N 105°28'7.64"W
I was up here and had the place to myself.
The trail (217) is for vehicles but not cars!
Trail (105) starts up Hwy 7 (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=123) and joins 217. I've seen regulat SUV's on 105.
