It looked so much worse during the fight. I was extremely impressed with how well he fought back in the final round of the fight.

Are you on drugs? Liddell isn't/wasn't anywhere near the fighter that GSP is.

Maybe I'm a little biased as he was one of my idols during the 7 years I did MMA competitively, but I think in his prime he would easily put GSP down (ok not easily, it'd be a good fight, but he'd come out on top).

I think during Chuck's prime, GSP was still developing. I really can't compare them though.

One of the reasons I saw Liddell as the fighter I aspired to be was that he's more of a Sprawl & Brawler than a Ground & Pounder (like me), but he can definitely hold his own if it goes to the ground and knows how to get out of it and back on his feet.
GSP is a great Ground & Pounder, and I've seen him land a number of damn good strikes, but he's definitely more of a groundwork guy.
I think Iceman is/was just as good at striking as GSP is at wrestling, but he's better at wrestling than GSP is at striking.... if that makes sense. That's why I think he'd win if we matched today's GSP agains yesterday's Liddell.
