I'm actually about to go start another batch for the big BBQ on Tuesday for the Army's birthday. Don't wanna hand out my secret recipe, but its a ketchup base with 1.5-2 cups of JD, 2-3 habaneros, roasted and minced garlic, brown sugar sautéed and finely chopped onions, plus some other good stuff, and then smoked for a while. Make about a gallon or so per batch unless the occasion calls for more.

I carry 99% of the time, even when I'm workin' around the house. You never know what might happen. Don't wanna be too far away from something I may need...

Brews I'd be down for a BBQ one of these days, good BBQ + good beer + gun talk is always fun.

I don't usually carry around the house, but I always have a gun or two within arms reach... just more comfortable to carry it from one room to another and set it down next to wherever I am instead of having it strapped to my hip, unless I'm moving around a lot. When I'm outside that's a different story.

    Why, you might ask?

I took a date hiking up near Rampart Range Road a couple summers, had my two dogs with use. She noticed when I attached a .357 to my belt. She wasn't an Anti but asked why when hiking in such a nice place. Just as she finished talking a very sketchy dude came walking down the trail talking to himself. Either crazy as a loon or high as a kite or both. He didn't bother us, but I just looked at my date and she said, I get it.

Over the years I've read at least a dozen news reports (via the NRA's Armed Citizen column and other sources) of someone using a firearm to defend their homes from the garage.
