Well frankly not much which is sad. They all pretty say the same usual republican talking points. I used to be a ron paul guy but he's not practical anymore.
When discussing jobs and manufacturing no one brought up one of the constitutions most important weapons of trade. The tariff, now before I get my head ripped off lets go over the rules here if China continues to devalue it's currency and flood the market with cheap goods than we aren't going to be able to reindustrialize.
Also, didn't hear anything about guns. Many R's are softening up lately it seems on gun freedoms.
Lol woke up to a phone call today.... "Mason I'm taking the Jeep to Moab on Monday and have no armor for it, can you build me some? I have cash." Then while I'm working on that Jeep I get a text "Hey so I replaced the battery in my Jeep (different Jeep) and now it won't work... it starts up but won't stay running." Fixed that over the phone. Then on the way home "Mason I found an F150 on craigslist can you come look at it with me and tell me if its good?"
Meanwhile I can't get a hold of either of my buddies that have 220 gas MIGs so I can fix my own damn truck. And after I get my truck drivable I still need to go do a bunch of work on a forum member's Mercedes.
Almost feels like I'm back working in a shop, except I'm still broke.
I actually saw an OBDII full diagnostics app for the iPhone a while back where you buy the app and then order a cable from the company that made the app that has an OBDII plug on one end and an iPhone one on the other. Dunno how well it works but it was only like $60 total, which ain't bad compared to a real scanner.
It was quite fun on the phone with the guy surfing the interwebs but because I am tethering with an app I can not get on https sites on the computer have to use the phone's browser to log into the cummins website all at the same time it handled it like a champ battery got kinda toasty though.
And Mason I feel your pain... hey can you find me a 4.3 vortec hey my cv axle is making noise etc it is magical.

The debates are almost meaningless. The only way to judge politicians is by their past. You look at past votes, or bills they pushed or signed or where they worked, in other words their actions. The only way I listen to what they say is to compare what they say today with what they said in the past. Politicians will say anything to get elected and only rarely actually say anything direct. Some are better than others but the best way is to look at their past. Nowadays with the internet it's a lot easier to check on people.
Gotta love diagnosing crap over the phone...
"I can't find this squeaking noise, think you can help?"
"What kind of noise is it?"
"I just said it's a squeaking noise"
"Is it a metal rubbing on metal squeak or a rubber squeak? Is is rubbing back and forth or is it rotating? If its rubbing does it get worse when the suspension compresses, when you turn, or during any other time? If its rotating does it get faster with engine speed or with vehicle speed? Any other details?"
"Uh..... maybe you should just come look at it"
