So I'm coming home from a meeting in Lakewood a few months ago, driving on I-70WB back up to Evergreen. I usually do about 60 down the hill (limit 55) and between 70 and 75 up the hill (limit 65 with 55min in L lane). So naturally I'm in the left lane of traffic passing people like it's my second job (not because I'm fast and aggressive, but most of the time people can't get up the hill near Genessee at a high rate of speed. So I crest the final hill before it levels off and take my foot off the gas. There is a lot of traffic in the right and middle lanes and I intend to pass as many as possible (within the limits of safety and trying not to break 75mph) before exiting at Evergreen Parkway. Lo and behold some super rushed d-bag in a large pickup comes screaming up on my rear bumper as I'm passing traffic that is clearly slower than me and starts with these "move it along" hand gestures. Obviously right now is not the best time to get out of his way unless I want to become fused with a minivan, but he has about as much patience as a spoiled 8 year old in Toys R Us. Now I'm starting to get a little irked with this guy because if he taps the gas anymore he'll have my BMW for a hood ornament and is driving like a maniac. Finally I find a break in traffic so I can get over and not miss my exit and possibly get this asswipe off of me. I put on the blinker, check mirrors/blind spot, I start to move and look in the rear view and see him giving me a round of applause. As soon as I'm over he begins to pass and I very subtly and casually give him the bird and that's when it happens... he slows, leans completely over the passenger seat (meanwhile I'm doing about 70) and gives me the finger and mouths "I'll f***ing kill you." I get off at my exit and half expect him to cut across 3 lanes of traffic to chase me down. So I pull out my trusted .45 and press check just to make sure she's in condition red and go about my drive. But nothing happened. Some people are just all talk.
Now see, that's exactly what I was talking about in my earlier posts about not escalating a potential situation where you may be forced to use your weapon.

True... and I usually try to avoid confrontation wherever possible, but if it's unavoidable I used force (deadly or otherwise) as a last resort when all other diplomatic options have failed. My brother had a gun pulled on him in traffic. In Evergreen, approaching the lake where the two lanes of traffic merge to become one, this car camping in my bro's blind spot couldn't get around him so they got right behind him and were honking and flashing lights. My brother gets to our road where there is a turn lane and the guy rolls passed him and pulls up a gun. Good thing my brother wasn't carrying, he's kinda crazy and would have followed this guy and been like "you wanna pull a gun on me!?" But in the end he said it looked like a bb gun.
