If a flurry of attacks is publicized, it's liable to make people think twice about going to the bars and restaurants in that area, thus hurting the businesses, who will raise a stink with the mayor's office, etc. Nobody's going to want to visit an area that may have roving thugs lurking in the shadows looking for victims. So, if it's kept quiet, none's the wiser.

I think that may be half of it. The other half is simply PC nonsense.

Liberal politicians don't want to admit that racist action is even possible from a minority group against whites. Both because it dulls their claims to be 100% pure victims, and I suspect many liberal politicians believe that most white folk are borderline animals that will put together lynch mobs and start murdering black boys at random if we get riled up

Most liberal positions are built on strawmen ... one of the big ones is that all whites (especially them Republican ones) are virulent racists ... remember the reason they believe most of us here own guns is so we can kill us some brown people.

This is unfortunately the truth. If you said you were proud of being white you would automatically be a racist. I have been called a racist for being proud of my ancestors heritage. I say im proud to be of Irish, Scottish and German decent in the wrong bar and all of a sudden I'm a bigot.

I look at it this way, crime is crime, and if you are commiting a crime you are a criminal. There has long been a double standard in this country. And yes to deny that whites have been called the start to all problems would be ignoring it. White people have been the excuse for all other races to claim they can't make it further than a certain level. Well all that was disproved in November of 2008. Everyone has the potential to go as far as they want to. And it is every persons responsibility to better themselves. Race has nothing to do with it.

I personally don't like anyone who would knowingly perpetuate the negative stereotypes of their people. That includes all races and creeds.

Racism is simply the lowest form of collectivism. Taking 'pride' in something like race over which you have no influence or control is ridiculous. Pride is properly reserved for legitimate accomplishments; if you have none, I would suggest your time and mental energy would be better spent on something other than your racial identity. I'm not white and sure as hell not a victim. The statement your make sounds paranoid. You seem to doing the same thing you are accusing liberal politicians of doing....grouping a large mass of people together and making assumptions about them. IMO a crime is a crime. I'm not a big advocate of hate crime legislation because it over criminalizes what is allready on the books. If you hurt or prey on someone black, white, purple whatever you should be held accountable. Bad people are bad people whether they act in groups or alone and they come in all flavors. I like this site because I'm a strong 2nd amendment advocate and enjoy hunting and shooting. So are you saying you're a liberal politician? Because I said nothing about race (other than to point out the apparent beliefs of liberal politicians vis-à-vis race).

I'm with you, I think the entire concept of "hate crimes" laws are asinine ... hell I think the entire concept of "race" is both arbitrary and asinine since we're all members of the same species.

We’ve got; Kingdom (Animalia), Phylum (Chordata), Class (Mammalia), Order (Primates), Family (Hominidae), Tribe (Hominini), Genus (Homo), Species (H. sapiens).

I don’t see “Race” listed there.

But the simple FACT is that the left (or progressives or liberals or whatever they're calling themselves this week) uses race as a way to divide us. Pointing that out is not a continuation of that division.
