Longest ride was to the springs and back here to junction. What was your average speed though? I pulled the trip on my GSXR 750 loaded with goodies... Lets just say most people can't get to Denver that fast!

Neil has good taste in bikes thats for sure.

I have a 1200 GSA and while it can go about 450-500 miles on a tank of gas, these days my ass and gas tank are about the same. If its windy, I drive. I dont mind the rain, its wind that I hate.

When I was young (30 + years ago) a friend of mine was trying to carry on a long distance relationship with a pretty little girl. We would leave SoCal on Friday after work and ride way up to NoCal to here grand parents farm on the CA/OR border. The distance was a little over 1200 miles and we typically covered this distance in about 14 to 16 hours depending on weather. Then we would leave on Sunday afternoon so we could be home for work on Monday morning. I rode a 1979 KZ1000 MKII and my friend rode his 1975 CB750 K5. We did this 4 times one summer and then she broke up with my friend.
