I know that is not what is said, hence why I said it wasn't the same thing. My point is however, you can't go around telling people you are going to kill them, shoot them, or hurt them, generally, just as I posted before.

He didn't say "I'm going to kill you!" ... that is a threat. He said something along the lines of " I hope somone kills you" that isn't a threat. Can I say "I hope OJ Simpson gets hit by a bus." ... or does that make me suspect of buying a bus and heading straight for his house?

Hell, I hope a comit crashes down on .50 Cents hosue tonight, and he dies in a pilar of fire. So what?

The comment "I hope someone kills you" could be a threat depending on the circumstances.

i think saying "I hope somone shoots his dumb ass" is a little different than actually saying you are going to shoot them yourself. one is a threat, one is a comment.

So I guess you missed the part where I said, "The Canton, Ohio Officer is Wrong." I agree with the city putting him on administrative leave to conduct a proper investigation, and it is my hope that he gets fired for being the exact thing that I don't want to work with or have on my streets as a patrol officer.

I know that, my point was that the Mods were trying to prevent threats and further types of comments from happening, which I don't blame them. It appeared to me and it probably appeared to them that that particular thread may have been going down that road.

I see where you are coming from and I'm not a Mod so I am don't think I am going to comment on that, however, it appeared from a couple of posts that Byte had made several comments recently in threads. The Mods may have given him warnings already, privately, and he hadn't followed those, I don't know. I am glad he isn't getting banned for life and that hopefully he will want to come back and continue posting.
