How does she claim it for that long?

I got transferred to CO so my wife tried to claim unemployment since she had to quit her job and was denied when trying to collect for the first time in 13 years of steady employment, and would have only received it for 6 months max if it had happened.

I also had a buddy that lost his job due to the WorldCom fiasco back in the day and was cut off after 6 months. He took the money and opened a PC repair shop.

It's not just the leeches that are the problem. There are a lot of working people, at all levels, that don't make the connection between life style and spending. I worked with several people that were convinced that it was nothing but luck that I was able to retire early. They made the same or more than I did but couldn't see that their spending habits kept them from saving any money. They always saw some excuse as why they couldn't save. One of the guys said because he had two kids he couldn't save anything in spite of making 20% more than I did. I could not convince him his annual $6000 trips to Hawaii were part of it. He knew those trips were absolutely necessary for the family. Another had to have a new car every year, although his wife only got a new one every other year. He could show on paper where I was spending more driving the same car for 10 years. They both said my savings should be taxed heavily because I obviously didn't need it.

There are plenty of non-welfare people that support taking money from those that have it and giving it to those that don't have it, including giving to those that have a lot already. I think they're called liberals. They support Obama and the other dems and government handouts.

At this time the leeches have to have some voting support from earners to get their freebies.

My stepdaughter and her boyfriend are like that, professional parasites. And he claims to be a former US Navy Seal. Yeah, right. AFAIK, those guys are, like, ambitious, and driven, and have ethics/pride, and integrity, and are too damn patriotic to demand .gov handouts, and aren't heroin addicts and pot growers, and work real jobs that pay taxes...not under-the-table-only jobs.

The S/D hasn't had a job in probably 10 years or more, just a professional tit-sucker. Oh, they have a paper route....but pay no taxes on that income either. She's so lazy she wouldn't wipe her own ass if she could get someone else to do it for her. But if she could get in a .gov program to provide an ass-wiper for her, she'd ride the bus and stand in line for it.

We will give you a check!
show up every day M-F 7-4. we will provide you with a temporary job until you can be placed with a permanent job. you have Kids? Its OK... we have a daycare run by people that needed a job too.
No Car? here is your bus pass, if you do not report for work, you will not be paid.

    perfect? nope...

but a fuckload better than the fat-ass breeder-cows sitting at home screwing and squeezing out welfare babies.
Bingo. Need help? No problem. All we ask is you work for it. I'd be willing to bet there would be a lot less welfare recipients if they actually had to do hard labor for that handout. Welfare should not be easy. It should suck enough that getting an honest job is viewed as an enticing alternative. Letting someone sit on their ass all day is not helping them help themselves.

Hell, I would even be alright with making them show up to a completely empty room with a single chair in it and making them sit in that god damn chair from 7-4. I believe it would discourage the majority of the able-bodied people from applying. Simply put: Nobody gets something for doing nothing. I don't care what you do to get your 'free' something as long as it isn't how you want to be spending your day.

We seriously need to build the Matrix. We can put all these lazy bastards in there and we can use them as batteries or something. Independence from foreign oil here we come!

I wonder exactly how grateful they would be if the "high people" (ridiculously idiotic nomenclature, by the way), came down and said "you're right! These living conditions are terrible! Here's a full time job for both of you!"

She complains about how all the jobs are minimum wage and they would still have to apply for assistance. So fucking what? That gives you the right to just sit on your ass and suckle the teat of society?

With all the people currently on welfare, and I believe well over half of them are capable of unskilled labor- we could fix many problems with our nation's infrastructure! Byte's idea from W. Germany would work very well in that regard. No job and collecting checks from .gov? Here, go fix roads, bridges, power lines, sewer, etc. We'd have enough to start a small government funded infrastructure repair company. They get paid, they are productive, and if they don't like the work (which I've done road crew work, it's not that hard) then they can actually get off their ass and find a better job! Problem fixed. And that, my friends, is how you kill 2 birds with one stone.
