Yea there has been a bunch of FNG's here lately pulling that crap. I would like to suggest again that we make a minimum post count of 150 post to be able to post to the For sale section.

I feel 150 is a good number because they will have to make an attempt at becoming a part of the community and if all they want to do is sell and they start bumping old sales items or blowing up threads with one or two word comments they can just be banned.

There has been way to much bs associated with that section and I know the mods have got to be tired of constantly policing it.

I also would like to agree with no pictures of the Item is a PIA, I know what a glock looks like but I dont know what your Glock looks like, I could be hot pink with flowers on it for all I know. Also the excuse of "The site says my pics are to large" is BS, There is a F***ing stickey at the top on how to post pics, F***ing READ!!!!

Last When an Item is sold the OP should Delete the thread not put SOLD!!! and expect a cookie or a medal because they sold it. By doing this it would limit the amount of bumps a worthless thread recieves while not taking away from the new threads and it would prevent any FNG bumping year old for sale items to boost their post count.

I think that since people find our For sale sections so easy to post maybe these or some other rules should be inacted. This is not Armslist or Gunbroker and if they don't like it then they can F*** off.

Ageed,except for the pictures. I'm glad they don't give a post count for bumping someones post. Anymore. I hate when thet bump it to tell you its sold. 150 is a great number.

I understand the desire to keep this community filled with upstanding individuals and the post count may help that.

However I can say that I read this forum everyday but I do not post much. I have been with this forum for at least a year now and my post count is still around 20.

There have been times where I have considered trading one of my pistols and not selling it but if your only looking to only trade it then yes I think you should have to at least list what your looking to trade for.

As always, I enjoy all of the wonderful members here and its a pleasure to be a member.

Obound has a point, but as we can see, there's a 'joined date' at the top right corner of the member profile in a post. It possible, criteria could be set for 150 posts OR minimum one year member. Just a thought.

BTW, read one the other day that I just loved. A $2k gun and snootly stated he wouldn't post pics... Are you Fn serious? I can see 'email for pics' on the regular stuff, but if you want someone to drop mad cash like that, pony up the pic in the thread of expect nobody to send a pm. Ya, I'm going to drive out to BFE with $2k product unseen. Seriously, shrink and insert the pic already. My 8 year old can do it...

Post count shouldn't determine character or quality. Any jackass can post 150 posts in a short manner of time and still suck. Just my 2 cents. Ive been here a short time and made some good trades and sales with 3 people here so far.

But back on topic I agree the price or trade options need to be clear. Not this secret squirel bs.

Thats why before any deal, buy or sell I check feedback. Also I agree with the fact that if you have been here a while (year or more) but don't have the post count then that should be an exception but its no "secret Squirrel BS" its long standing members of this forum tired of the for sale section going to shit because some dude wants to be an asshat and get rid of his crap and never come back. You also might notice the same FNG's sell there old crap for new retial prices and they don't care if they screw someone over because they are like a john picking up a hooker, f***em and leave your load.

We don't need this site to become a "dumping ground" for every swinging D/#K that wants to sell a firearm. Be a part of this community, contribute something useful other than your 500 yard prowess with your HiPoint 9mm and your hotrod 1980 station wagon. We all enjoy a bit of playful banter and BS'ing each other but when they post absolutely absurd and argumentative post's they just crap up the server and piss people off. You make yourself a horses ass.
I am all for a denial/lock on sale postings until "X" amount of posts are reached. It will help weed out the scuz bucket's that join just to hawk their junk.

Your correct post count shouldnt and doesnt determine character. What the posts will do is assure that someone comes here to be a part of this community and not just pop in and sell a gun and then move on.

What everyone here needs to remember this is a discussion forum with the ADDED benefit of a trading post, NOT the other way around. If your only objective is to sell firearms and never participate in the forum thats a shame and there are other sites out there that will allow you to just sell a gun. I personally like the idea that we are more than just a selling site and its FREE and we have a feed back forum to hold folks responsible.
