What f'n pisses me off is when people who are not in the Denver Metro area, say Greeley or Colo Springs, want your item, but they either won't come and f'n get it, or they whine about shipping. Or if I was in Ft. Collins and somebody in Denver wanted a $20 item, takes a lot of my time negotiating a lower price but didn't want to even suggest coming and getting it, and whined about and/or want me to eat any part of shipping. Eat me- I'll burn it 1st.![]()
You know it ain't feller. For a C-note, I'll figger out delivery- and I'm learnin. For $15 or $20, from now on outside the Denver Metro Area, delivery and or pick-up is the buyer's problem- not mine. I'll think twice when I'm talking to people outside my area about small dollars. Don't waste my time.![]()
I drove all the way from Castle Rock to the southern edge of the Pawnee grass lands to pick up a steel target. Not once but twice.
Hell, if you don't want to interact with people loving the same thing that you do, then why join the site in the first place? It's not the targets I remember about the trips, it's the people. I'd make the drive back there again in a heartbeat.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.
Anyone that thinks war is good is ignorant. Anyone that thinks war isn't needed is stupid.
i have pretty good luck with this . most folks knock a few bucks off , meet half way or throw down on the extras of me . although there are a few i have dealt with that expect you to drive damn near to kansas and pay top dollar for for a very used gun . so i have boundaries or limits im willing to travel to make a deal . i usually try to stick from co springs to loveland ,id have no problem with an hour or so into the hills but i wont go too much past 270 east . i also look at the location of buyer/seller when making offer and factor the gas ect. to the bid .
Huh? You say you drove all the way up there to pick up steel targets, sounds like you were the buyer- so what's your beef? In a buyer/seller relationship, it's not my responsibility to eat delivery cost and/or shipping, after lengthy negotiations over a few dollars, especially on small dollar items. I've met lots of good folks here, as you may see if you peruse my feedback- this in a pretty short time on the forum. If you have the $$ to spend on gasoline delivering some 40 miles (that right there is 80 miles round trip, say 17 mpg so that's about 5 gallons of gas- $3.50 per gallon- so 17.50 in gas alone) more power to you. On an item someone wants for $15 or $20.
What's the point? If they are a friend or someone you've dealt with a number of times, ok fine- that's different.
ok, time to be a hard-ass...

this requirement has been posted for YEARS. No excuses!
do I need to get out the ban hammer?![]()
Can I ask what this has to do with my post?
How many more threads like this are we going to get? NO ONE reads forum rules when they join a site. No one. I've probably posted on 20 different sites over the years, and have never read any forum rules unless they were specifically brought to attention by a thread or something.
