Leave the guns alone. If someone is not endangering your life, someone elses, or any of the oher provisions in CRS, then you don't need the guns. You've got the wrong mindset...cars are replaceable, people are not.

All good advice, thanks guys.... I just talked to my neighbor who just informed me that one of our residents is a CSP Trooper and will be back tonight (with squad car parked 2 spaces from mine) around 9pm... I'm still gonna go out every little bit or so (yes with 1911 on hip, for precaution, not intent to use) just in case CSP neighbor is running late. I like the wipe down my handles and stuff, good idea. And no, I have the nicest car in the lot, can't swap with brother because we have different schedules tomorrow- I work. And I'm not just being conceited, really it's probably the nicest car in the lot even though it's an '05 BMW 3Series- which my next point, battery, pain in the ass to get to, it's in the trunk and don't want to mess with it. Can't do the video camera thing- the only thing I have is a $1500 camera, they find that it's gone.

Also, just some background, I spent almost every dime I made on deployment on that car, it's my dream car from when I was a youngin' and I would literally kill over it if it came to that- some people don't understand the hard work I put into getting that thing. I'm hoping that these guys were just messing around, trying to make me paranoid or whatever, but in the chance that they were scouting me out let's just say they picked the wrong bull to mess with.

Call me. I live in Lakewood, not that far from you. You can park the car in front of my house and I'll drive ya home and pick you up to bring you back to your car for work. Cheap insurance and you'll get some sleep. PM on the way.

No matter how much blood, sweat and tears you put into this car, you will not be able to enjoy it from a prison cell when a judge puts you away for shooting someone for breaking into it.
Stay calm and keep the firearms locked away if you catch someone messing around with your car.

Please don't do that. If they're breaking into your car, they're a criminal. By all means confront them in a calm manner with no weapons drawn, but don't disarm yourself before confronting a criminal... that'd be pretty stupid.

um, I would definitely confront them...maybe not with my AR on them, but certainly I would be CC, hightened awareness, etc.

on the other hand, I do see the point. a car can be replaced. I know all of us, or at least most, including myself feel like not much will happen to me, I will have the upper hand etc etc, but sometimes the bad guys are armed, multiple of them shooting at you over your car is likely.

of course if they broke into my garage (part of my home) to steal my truck "silver wolf", that would be their last mistake.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

Yes officer I took my gun outside with me to see what was going on after I heard noises, I thought some one might be trying to steal my car. Officer responds sir why would you think that. I was followed home earlier and I figured they might be back to break into my car. Did you make a report? No why not? I did not get a plate number and a very good description of the car or the occupents. Why didnt you just call the police if you thought your car was being stolen? Cause I have my trusty 1911 and decided to take the law into my own hands and hold them at gun point until you got here, then one of them pulled out a gun so I shot him. Officer responds place your hands on top of your head and interlace your fingers you are under arrest. can we say premeditated.

That is what would make it such an easy premeditated murder case.
