Don't want to do that Alex- it literally would be "The thread that wouldn't die".

When buffing/grinding always buff/grind AWAY from a thin edge.

    Glad it wasn't worse DD

Woah, well at least you know you won't die without scars (chicks dig 'em!)... by the way, sweet looking hawk, when you're all healed up would you mind if I bothered to put an order in for some CO-AR15 member made tomahawk awesomeness... my last 'hawk was lost in a tragic boating accident .
Lesson learned, you can never be too careful, and even then you can still get hurt. Glad it wasn't worse.

Today , the leg is rather sore since the pointed part and not sharp at all is what bit me.
Even as clean as it was I think it was more of an impact, feels like a solid charley horse.
Im just waking up since I cant get off this night schedule.

Here is a link for those interested in this hawk. I love it and I carry it with me when I go to work as a means of survival or defense if I run out of ammo
I am getting ready to modify the handle with a much better grip set up.
Im going to shorten it and then change out the cloth tape hockey or lacrosse
style buildups to paracord wrap and it will stay in play with either a bit of epoxy or knotches in the handle.

The worst I ever saw, with a blade, was a youtube video where the guy was demo-ing chopping with a big knife, and he cut his finger off in a nice close-up!

Should have done it the Colorado Ar-15 pro-2nd Amendment conservative way and super glued, stapled, or stitched it yourself with a rusty nail and suture material made out of cat gut from some road-kill you found last week while successfully hunting Grizzly bears with a sharpened stick.

Hope you got a tetanus booster while you were at the ER.

You better redeem yourself by chewing out those stitches in 7-10 days and forgo letting some poor ER worker yank them out.
Shoulda done it Rambo 3 style... open a round by biting the bullet and pulling it out of the casing, then pour the powder into the open wound and light it to cauterize it.

I had a tetnus back in July when I opened my middle L finger to the bone with
my everyday carry knife....didnt hurt one bit and didnt feel it except for the
large amount of blood trickling down when it happened.

Yep, only pussified people would go to a "specialist." Should have taken care of it yourself, and if you couldn't have, start digging a hole.

I was held at pregnancy point to go to the ER and get it stitched up

My hoochiemomma is almost ready to pop, maybe a week left.
