Oh this is gonna be good.
A two minute message supposedly from a member of the Anonymous 'hacktivist' group has threatened members of the violent Zeta drug gang in Mexico with exposure.
The video demands the release of an Anonymous member allegedly kidnapped by Zeta members during a protest.
'You have made a great mistake by taking one of us. Free him,' the video says.
The video - in English and Spanish versions - warns that unless the kidnapped activist is freed, the group will post photos and identities of police officers, journalists, taxi drivers and police working with the Zetas online this week...
I'm trying to figure out whether Anonymous has overplayed their hand here ... or if Los Zetas are screwed (of course if the Zetas have their own hackers ... or hire Russian or Chinese hackers ... they could end up finding and removing Anonymous members from their parents basements. If that's the case, lets hope none of us here have an Anonymous schmuck living in their neighbor's basement and stealing your wifi!).
But I gotta wonder, if Anonymous really has lots of info that if released could damage the Zetas, why haven't they released it already? I would contend that if they do and they haven't that they have blood on their hands.
