The more preparation and planning we have to do, and people to please, I can definitely see the lure for going to Vegas. I could have already had a new toy too.
It's easier said than done. But the wedding day is about you two(mostly her). So don't care about pleasing anyone else.
It's mostly me convincing her of that very thing.
"Honey, this is OUR wedding, not your mom's. She had her chance already."
We're still having all the stress of pleasing people, just in Vegas. Still cheaper for us. Worried about family that doesn't know how to shop for deals though. I think we got air and hotel for 7 people for what some of my family is paying for two people...
