These people manufacture financial crisis to gain further money and power and I for one have no pity for them, so when they make a mistake like this that frankly doesn't touch their bottom line but will no doubt ruin this young mans life, I say screw em. Bottom line this guy deserves some punishment, but not a felony conviction, not like he directly stole anything from someone and the bank is the one who put the money in his account, they bare the bulk of responsibility for this incident!
So as long as you only steal from certain people it is morally OK. Gotcha.

No one in this case should be charged with a crime. Wells Fargo made the mistake not him. Who ever put those funds into the wrong account should be the one held responsible for the mixup.

In this case the *receiving stolen property* charge is one of the most incompetent charges I have ever heard of. How did he receive stolen property? Dont put $69,300 in the wrong account, it is that simple.

Wow, you guys are unbelievable. The guy admits to knowing it was not his money and he spent it anyways. Does no one have any personal integrity anymore?

This thread is looking to be a good one to book mark so I know whom NOT to do business with.

Don't park your car in a parking lot if you don't want me to take it... Sure, I know it's not MY car... But you just left it there...

These are the same people that think Piracy of music is ok... Yes, I am guilty of it too. But at the same time, now that I'm older, I've bought pretty much every song I ever pirated. Now it's all Pandora all the time though.

Nothing is free, especially the kind of money he got. Morally he was obligated to return it.

First off, come off your high horse there son, secondly you probably support TARP too eh? Where are the charges for the billions stolen by those folks? Fact is you seem to have no problem with these banks and CO's stealing from all of us but you are ready to crucify this kid for spending money the BANK put in his account! The kid spent money that wasn't his and should be punished as I said before, I did not say it was OK to steal from certain people, just because you draw conclusions with a big yellow crayon doesn't mean I have to.
Lastly please refrain from trying to impugn my character, I have been a soldier, a law enforcement officer and small business owner and not once have I stolen a dime or conducted a shady deal.

I got a raise once that was suppose to be to $26 and hour, but they made it by $26 an hour to something like $49 an hour. Did not cash the check and went to the boss and gave it back. I knew it was wrong. Do the right thing and save your self some trouble.
