Whenever I go to a show I allways look for parts I need .Like sight blades for an enfield #4 extractor springs, .040 sight blade-parts that you have to look at on hand to make sure there what you need and whats proper on your firearm.
A lot of guys have parts bins and the'll let you rummage through them to pick out what you need. And there fairly reosonable at the prices.
Thats at most shows I've been to I'm sure Tanner is the same way
Most of all its a good day to be out of the house and be around guns and your buds all day-Well worth the 8 bucks in my eyes.
I picked up a cleaning mat and a cheap little bipod to snap onto the M1A. Helped out Al for a little while and got some stripper clip spoons off him.
Spent $35 all told.
It's amazing how little a gunshow has to offer when you aren't interested in AR-15 parts.
It seems like the prices are starting to creep up a bit to me. Of course I am old enough to remember when the vendors at gun shows were mostly just folks and not so many stores selling at the same price or better than bass pro or the like.
When you get here you will actually be able to not only handle a hand gun, BUT........buy it the same day w/out anyone in LE reviewing your paperwork, mulling it over than maybe approving it. Luckily you're an upstater so the guys up there sign off on target permits without much crap.
The Great Kazoo's Feedback
"when you're happy you enjoy the melody but, when you're broken you understand the lyrics".
That is one of the drawbacks and keeps me from buying a gun at one.
If you dont have a valid ny pistol permit you cant even pick one up to check it out.
And sometimes the NIC check can take hours due to the volume at the show.
Ct is even worse-you have to wait 2 weeks to pick up your firearm!!!
And if the guy is from the other side of the state there goes the deal you thought you had!!Now you have to truck on up to his shop!!Defys the reason of going to the show.
Attendance was the lowest today I've ever seen. Good for us to look at stuff, but has to be bad for vendors. Also seemed to have an opposite effect on some of them. Being the last day and less number of customers, you would think one would try and make any sales they could. Not really. Most seemed to stick to their retail prices and appeared to care less if you walked away without buying anything. Weird...
Crawled out from under my rock.
