I own several Lar 8 rifles and based on my satisfaction with them I would bet that RRA will have these well functioning and reliable. However as much as I like RRA I don't see the need for a AR in this caliber because the AK is the best rifle for caliber. But if a buyer wants this config I would trust the RRA name if they bought the rifle. RRA did a lot of work on the lar 8 to address what bushmaster could not get right withe fal mag use and bolt problems. RRA I would suspect most likely did the same with this platform.

I would like to try one of these out. I don't know if I would buy one though.

One has to ask themselves what would the benefit be of an AR in 7.62 x 39?

I asked myself and find none...............

    My question is this: what are you trying to accomplish that 1) 300 Blackout SBR 2) 300 Blackout 16” 3) 6.8spc 16” or 4) 7.62x51 16” can’t provide?

I am not a big fan of the AK either but it is damn effective at what it was designed to do and I have one. 7.62x39 is not that great of cartridge…I don’t think I would try to re-engineer an AR platform to reliably use it when there are three SAAMI cartridge choices along with several other wildcats that will work well. I plan to build option 1 and 4 above. The best part of option 1 and 2 is that I don’t need anything else but a barrel to build it…everything in it is interchangeable with what I have. I don’t have any brass to buy, just cut, size, and trim.

If this were a piston op, and they did something about the horrible mag release placement, and it came with a folding stock option, and maybe a folding front sight (wishful thinking?)... then I might be interested. I like the idea of having a positively solid rail to mount optics on, and the ability to use a high end AR trigger (assuming it uses a standard AR type trigger).
As is, no way in hell I'd spend money on that.

300 Blackout would really suck without the ability to reload! I am set up for 300 Blackout and 7.62x51. I doubt I will ever do 6.8 spc because of the cost to get started.

That pretty much sums it up for me- only way I'd do .300BLK is reloading... and if I got a .30cal suppressor, it would but a must-have.
7.62x39 can be cheap, or decently accurate (not both)- with .300BLK the only way to keep cost down is to reload it... with commercial ammo, you take the cheap option out... 7.62x39 can do much of what .300BLK can do (people have done .308 builds, subsonic, etc- just not common), but will be more expensive to do it... (x39 brass & .311 bullets are $$$) handloads in x39 are for accuracy, you can't save money over steel case by reloading.
