or would a compressed air gun be exempt because it has neither a combustion chamber, nor ignition?
    Good call.

How about we just limit guns operating on compressed air/gas to a specific PSI? Any particular number sound good? 75/100/150/200? Or do we say that compressed gas guns have to be manually inflated (e.g. manual tire pump/squeeze box, etc) - and then put a time limit on how long you are allowed to 'inflate' for. 30/60 seconds?

compressed air (pneumatic) guns are already at a disadvantage to exploding gas guns,

if it were me, i would not limit compressed air designed at all..and simply state that if your junk blows up and kills you, your disqualified

Why is that? My pneumatic gun fires every single time I press the trigger, ie: don't have to keep clicking some BBQ igniter hoping it'll go boom. My pneumatic gun also shoots farther than any combustion gun as well.

I also control the exact pressure that the PVC sees, not just hoping some random spray of hairspray doesn't over pressure it.

I also don't understand why you'd make the pneumatic guys manually create the pressure, if that's the cause you should make the gas guys mine for their own fuel.

I was just looking for a way to keep someone from showing up with a 5000 PSI tank in a 5" expansion chamber.

Or waiting for someone to get their little car air compressor up to 100 PSI.

If we do have a PSI limit I guess we are going to need to find a way to monitor it..

But the fewer the rules the easier things will be.

Yeah I dont want crazy outlandish rules, this is simply for fun and camaraderie. Just an excuse for us to get out and have a good time.

As for location, I was initially thinking somewhere out in Pawnee National Grasslands, but that is not set in stone. If someone else has a good place lets do it.

Maybe we can make a weekend of it like we were all planning last year and do a group hang out at the south site and do a clean up then also.
