For those up that direction stay safe
And I was thinking it was sparks caused from the friction of all the tree hugging going on down there.....

    0% percent chance of rain.......
Just had a huge RAIN storm pass over, looks like it really did a number on the fire.
Looks like steam is coming up, maybe a few small pockets of fire.
Planes are starting to pass over again to finish it off.

Our less than five minutes of not so stellar rain..............mother nature temping us then it throws out a rainbow just to rub shite in our faces...............

I am going to call the Goberment hotline and turn in mother nature for something illegal..................

our ranch is at the base of the mountain there that is on fire. we have all our trucks hooked up to our trailers just in case we need to get out. we watched it move over the ridge and down the front side of the flatirons. so scary to watch.

Can't speak for the east side of the mountain, but here on the west side there looks to be only a small fire still going. Looks like one or two trees burning, everything else is smoldering or steaming.... Not sure which.

Came up Coal Creek Canyon this afternoon. Every fire station had crews on hand.

Looks like the fire is spreading north and south. Also heading down Bear Canyon, behind NCAR.

    From this afternoon.

Inteweb sucks tonight. I'll try to add more pics tomorrow.

I'm due south of the blaze. If they got the same rain we did it won't help much. Might wet down the grass a bit.

Here are some pics. Fire plane shot is from right outside my front door.
