1) Why would the lawyer react the way that he did if there was only the one forum thread and the initial inquiry?

2) Why would the lawyer get backing from the organization at all? It seems to me that the action taken would have been to stay out of it and tell them to handle the case themselves. There is no reason to get involved because the situation as described is lose lose for them to bac the lawyer, unless there is something we are not being told.

I want to back the NCO, but the action - reaction for this situation does not add up. Plus, as some make believe war hero, it seems awful foolish to attack people trained to make people disappear.
