I guess your friends are hermits... Alaska was on the brink of being broke like CA... back before she became Governor, then she got elected and pulled them out of that mess. Also, to answer the first part- Context. Everyone seems to point to SNL- she never once said she could "see Russia from her house," and that liberal f***-wad c*** Katie Couric did quite a bit to tarnish her as well.

And have an open mind, she's not what a lot of people think, I have some friends who got a chance to meet her and sit down with her for about an hour and a half and they all said she's very smart.

And also the documentary, it basically exposes the liberal medias attempts to make her look like a buffoon. I've seen a lot of candid interviews with her and she doesn't come off as an idiot every single time... granted I'm not saying she's a genius or anything but she is not as stupid as people often credit her as being. If you really look at her track record when she was governor of AK she did a lot of good and handled that job very well.
