"A picture on Tuesday with an article about the weapons used in the Aurora, Colo., shooting was published in error. It showed a Les Baer .45 — not a Glock .40-caliber semiautomatic pistol, which was used in the shooting. And the article referred incompletely to the availability of fully automatic weapons for sale. While the sale of new machine guns to civilians has been outlawed since 1986, older machine guns were grandfathered into the law and can be sold to civilians in certain states."

The New York Freakin' Times! I actually agree with that statement.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

Colt was Gaston's Uncle. Uncle Colt Glock, and little nephew Gaston Glock.

    Journalists???

I haven't had TV for almost two years so once in a while, when on the road, I catch O'Reilly or whatever passes for entertainment on the tube. Tonight, Bill was arguing with Congressman Chafetz, R, from Utah about how it was reasonable for any purchases of "heavy weapons" or heavy duty ammunition to be reported to the FBI. Bill continued with the stupidity by insisting that the Aurora murderer ordered 60,000 rounds of ammunition. Bill repeated the 60k number at least five times. This is 10 times the number I've read on ammunition quantity. Not that it matters whether the stash was 6k or 60k, because he obviously only fired what he brought and one person would have a difficult time moving 6k or more rounds while committing multiple homicides.

I did stay on the Factor for John Stossel's piece on pot smoking being allowed in San Fran where cigarettes are banned.

I don't believe I will be taking any journalist's word for much of anything without quite a bit of scrutiny. No real change there.

New York and a "journalist", you were expecting less than a 3rd strike?
