I like this plan as long as Peace means peace through superior firepower.

We'll need to run all the illegals and liberals out of CA, OR and WA. We need CA, OR and WA for the naval bases / shipping ports and so we can send the Navy out to kick Red China's ass in 20 years.

We'll have the Gulf ports to get HKs and other currently restricted firearms from the nations to the east of us.

We'll have to redirect all shipping to the Gulf from the East Coast so we get first pick of stuff and they get the leftovers. I don't want a bunch of idiotic New York and Wash DC liberal scum getting things before we get them.

(besides having everyone own a firearm, that sounds awesome.)

This is where were gonna run into probs. Libertarians, Constitutionalists, and pragmatic conservatives are going to butt heads. Here's what we do. Pick a state or two along your lines of belief, move there and from the state level down do as you please. We are facing a quasi-fascist/socialist state if we did this so we must move as swift as our founding fathers. Each colony had a policy of mandatory militia service. If you want freedom fight for it.

No, I don't see this thread getting taken out of context by the media, gov't or anti's; why do you ask?

Check out the Emberverse series by S.M. Stirling. Starts with a book titled Dies The Fire. Alternate history (alternate future actually but set in "current times"). Great series of books about an Event that occurs, society collapses, survival issues (great preparedness ideas in there too). Plenty of fighting/battle action but without firearms due to the nature of the "Event". Set in/around Portland, OR.

    Absolutely love these books.

The beauty of a the Rocky Mountain Republic is there would be very little federal government, and each state could design a local government that works best for them. If you want more libertarianism, then move to the state with more libertarianism. If you want more traditional Christian conservative, then move to that state, etc. I have wanted something like this my whole life...

Isn't this the way our present nation was originally designed? We have forgotten the term "United States" is plural. . .

That was the plan until the worst fears of centralized government/banking our Founders tried so hard to prevent came to pass. Daily more authority is usurped from The People and The States to be consolidated and abused in the heart of corruption to the detriment of our Freedoms and the decay of our Nation.

Maybe we could get the western Canadian provinces to join us ... in which case we should just get Alaska to stick with us too. Or we could just take the Baja ... seriously, what is Mexico gonna do?
Awesome flag, good on the Gadsden Society.
