    Default Dpms complete kit?

I have a friend that wants to get in to a AR. I have been talking to him a bit about it. I came across this kit and was wondering if any one knew how good they are for a basic build? I'm still learning my self. Would he be better off to save up a little more and get something a little better? He just wants something that will be reliable and cycle well. Thanks for any input !

    Your link is bad

Aside from that. DPMS' customer service is a joke. Found that out first hand. If you want details, ask and I'll PM them to you.

That link is sold out, no back-order. Here's another option I came across:

I don't know anything about them, but maybe someone here does? Cheap way to get addicted... I mean, introduced.

I've used them on & off for about 20 years. Good CS and decent product.

OK, So I had a DPMS standard M4 profile upper that would not shoot accurately, tried several different NEW cartridges, still no luck. Sent it back to DPMS, they had it for about a month, no big deal. Get it back with a photocopied target, with several loads they tested, and saying it was within spec for accuracy. Which by looking at the target, I would believe that. Then I looked at the date written on the target, it was 6 months ahead of the date I received the upper from their CS dept. Ask a person who knows the reps for DPMS what the deal is, he shows them the photocopied target, they say that all the targets are electronically logged, and are just randomly printed and sent back to the customer.

So I called DPMS and said that I was not happy with my upper still. They informed me that they would not look at it again as it "passed" their inspection. I informed them of the issue with the target, still got the same crap.

Sold the upper and never looked back. Like I said, customer service from them is garbage.

On a brighter note, I am completely satisfied with my Spike's upper.
