Begin rant.
My wife renewed her Colorado DL online a few days ago (who wants to go stand in line at the physical DMV anyway). In the renewal application questions were asked regarding current insurance (to be expected, I guess) and also current vehicles she owns. I thought it was BS for them to ask the question about cars (this was for a DL not registration) but it was required so she filled it out. The renewal application also asked for credit rating which is MAJOR BS. That is no business of the DMV!
Anyway, fast forward to today and she has been getting spammed via cell, email AND text from multiple insurance agents trying to get her to change insurance. They all have said she requested they call her. She did no such thing. The only explanation is the DMV either sold or outright gave her personal information to these agents which is complete and total BS and a major abuse of authority by the DMV. We are both pissed.F'n crooks.

F'n crooks.
